[Review] Nature Republic Botanical Crystal Shadow #2 Ruby Pink

Hello Cuties~ Sorry I have not been uploading for awhile, but today I am back with a cosmetic makeup review. Today I will review Nature Republic's Botanical Crystal Shadow #2 in Ruby Pink. I am a big fan of shimmery eye shadows, since they make my eyelids pop with color. Recently I have been trying the shimmery eye shadow, which came in a cute little tube. I am glad that it came with a sponge brush as an applicator, this makes applying much easier. Below I did a swatch of the eye shadow on my hand, it looks very smooth and pigmented.

PRO:

  • It had a brush for easy application.
  • The amount that it come with would last for months.
  • The color is pigmented, so if you apply a light layer, it would have a very natural shimmer.

CON:

  • The glittery texture does not stick to my eyelids for a very long time, I advise you guys to use a primer beforehand.
  • I would not use this daily, but occasionally when I want to put some colors on my eyelids.

COST:

  • About $5-6

[Review] The Face Shop Face It Extreme Brush Pen Eyeliner #2 Brown

Hey Cuties~! how have you been? School have started for most of you and me too. It is time to try a new eyeliner for a natural definition of the eye. Today I will be posting about The Face Shop's Face It Extreme Brush Eyeliner Pen. I have been experiencing with different types of eyeliners before, but I find eyeliners with a thin brush to be easier to use. Recently I have been using brown eyeliners instead of black because it has a natural tone to it, and find black eyeliners to be a little harsh, which is good for going out and partying. I have been using this eyeliner for a while, and I am in love! Here is a picture of the eyeliner and how thin it is on my eyelids! I think it is perfect for everyday eyeliner!

PROS;

  • It is a liquid brush eyeliner for easy application.
  • It is thin, so you can control the length of the eyeliner.
  • It is long lasting.

CONS:

  • It might smudge a little.
  • Sometimes when I apply, the ink does not come out as well, so I have to go over a few coats.
COST:
Around $10 in Hawaii

Thank you so much for reading Cuties~! Have a nice day!

[Review] Nature Republic By Flower Auto Eyebrow #2 Brown

Hey Cuties! Today I am going to review Nature Republic's By Flower Auto Eyebrow #2 in Brown. Since My eyebrows are naturally hairless, I wanted to use something to fill them in to look nice and neat. I want to give them definition without making them look fake. I like this eyebrow pencil because I do not have to sharpen it and just twist it to get more.

Pros:

  • Very nice texture, which is very smooth.
  • It comes with a brush so you can comb through your eyebrows.
  • It is an auto-eyebrow pencil so no sharpener involved!
  • The length of the color pencil is very long, so it will last you through a long time.

Cons:

  • The tip of the pencil is sharp at the start, once you use more, it becomes less sharp.
  • Not waterproof!

COST:

  • Cost around $3.90 in Hawai'i

[Review] Nature Republic Given By Nature Tea Tree Aqua Gel Mask

Merry Christmas and happy holidays Cuties!~ long time no post due to finals and studying! but I am glad that we are back. According to the schedule, I was supposed to post yesterday, but due to issues, I was not able to. Today I will review to you the tea tree aqua gel mask from Nature Republic. First of all, tea tree is a very important ingredient when it comes to acne or trouble skin, since it will help with reducing inflammation and soothes the redness on the skin.

I had tried the cotton texture sheet masks before, but not much of the gel type. This was the first time I tried it and it was interesting. If you have never heard or saw the gel masks before, here is a quick overview of the difference between the two. > Cotton Mask Sheet vs. Gel Mask Sheet (covered by the lovely Jessica <3 )

How it looks like with it on.

PRO:
  • It helps with the benefits of acne and dry skin.
  • it is separated into upper half and bottom half so it is easier to adjust to individual faces.
  • Helps soothing and moisturising the face.

CON:
  • The gel is covered in plastic wraps so it won't damage the gel, but it takes a while to take the mask out.
  • It has a lot of solution, so when I put it on my whole hand is all wet.

COST:
  • $2.90 before tax in Hawai'i

[Review] Nature Republic Bamboo and Charcoal Pore Pack

HEYYYY Cuties! How was your Halloween week? did you went crazy or trick-or-treat with your friends and family? I am here with yet another pore/ blackhead review. Today we have Nature Republic's Bamboo and Charcoal Pore Pack, which recently Nature Republic have this. Ever since I saw this commercial with EXO, I wanted to try it out. Check it out below:
This pore pack would help with exfoliating the pores, making your pores clean from black heads, whiteheads, and impurities. The man ingredients would be Charcoal and Bamboo for both steps.
There are two steps involved in this process:

1) Pour some of step 1 solution into the cotton nose strips included and time for 10-15 minutes.
2) Put the clay on the the nose or T-zone and spread according to the nose shape, peel it off until it is dried.

Instructions in Korean; but you can see the time limits for each step

Left: with the cotton strip on
Right: The results after the clay dried

PRO:
  • takes off the black and white heads making my nose cleaner
  • Have a pleasant fragrance
  • It is affordable

CON:
  • Takes up time for two steps
  • if clay isn't spread equally, you will have leftover clay on your nose

[Review] Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max White C Luminous Ampoule

Hey Cuties~ long time no update! sorry for the late update due to mid-term week again! but I am back today with another review of Nature Republic's Aqua Super Max White C Luminous Ampoule. What this like do is to hydrate the face while brightening it. This is how the product looks like:

I really like the dropper, which makes things easier to squirt out the products. What is different about this product is that the main ingredient is made out of Camu Camu, which is also known as the sea grape. I have heard that there is a lot of sea grapes in Hawai'i. But the sea grape have a stronger brightening property than vitamin C from a lemon.

This is a sample of a droplet; its luminous glow looks very vibrant, yet when applied on the hand it blends nicely causing a small brightening glow.

OVERALL:
I like this product so far, since I just bought it a few days ago and decided to give it a try. I usually put this at night because that is the most important time to treat your skin. I don't put it during the day, or the sun will dry out the product. If I do put it during the day, I would put sun block to prevent it from drying. I always wake up with a clear face that felt hydrated.

COST: $20~ in Hawai'i

[Review] The Face Shop Lovely Me: Ex Design My Eyebrows #4 Brown

Good evening my Cuties~ I apologize for uploading late due to studying for my mid-terms, but I won't let you guys down! So here I am with a new review pertaining to The Face Shop's Design My Eyebrows in the shade of brown. I am sure a lot of people have seen review on this eyebrow pencil, but it is so good that even I want to review it. I am a big fan of eyebrow products, since I don't have much eyebrow hair myself. I wanted my eyebrow to be nicely shaped and full, so I decided to try this pencil.
This eyebrow pencil is very convenient, since it is an auto pencil, so it does not have to be sharpen when the tip becomes dull. I also find it useful to have an eyebrow brush on the other side of the tip, so I could blend the color in, causing a natural effect.

This is my eyebrows when I do not color them in. The second picture shows that only one side of my eyebrows are filled in. (Sorry about my dark circles and eye bags, it is due to the lack of sleep) Below is a picture of me with both eyebrows filled in, pretty natural right?

PROS:
  • It does not cost much, Hawai'i is around $4~5
  • It fills in the eyebrows naturally
  • Comes with a brush
  • Does not have to sharpen it

CONS:
  • It is straight edged, so it depends if it is convenient for the user according to their eyebrow shapes.
  • Clumps a little when pressure was applied, it also makes it dark looking

[Review] Nature Republic Hawaiian Fresh Clay Pack

Good morning Cuties~! Today's review I had decided to try Nature Republic's Hawaiian Fresh line, which contains acne cleaner, toner, serum, acne spot treatment, and clay pack. Today I would be doing the clay pack review. This product is made from the deep Hawaiian sea water so it contains a lot of minerals for your skin and makes it healthier. This product is good for oily skin type, which helps with acne and remove sebum while revitalizing the skin. It also contains Hibiscus extract (pore tightening) and Noni extract (moisturize the pores).

I think the packaging is really cute.
How to use:
This product is similar to a face mask sheet, but it is in clay form. First spread it on the face and then let the clay dry, which will take about 20-30 minutes depending on how much clay is on the face. After, when the clay is all dry, rinse it with water and you are finished.

Price range:
This product is very affordable $14-16 in Hawaii.

PROS:

  • Minimizing and cleaning of pores
  • softens the face making it feel smooth
  • the scent of the clay was pleasant
CONS:
  • needs to wash it off after, this is not for people who are lazy to wash it off
  • Rinsing the clay off could be messy

[Review] Tony Moly Berry Trendy Hair Color Cream Milky Blonde

Hey Cuties, how have you been? Today I have a special review to share with you guys, which is Tony Moly's hair dye. I have not dye my hair for a few months now, so my natural roots came in super quickly. I had decided to recolor my roots to the original hair color. I choose to use the milky blonde because I wanted my hair to have a natural ash brown color. One tip that I could give for choosing your own hair dye color depending on which color you wanted would be for example, I have black hair and I wanted my hair to look brown, so I would choose a blonde color so the color would be brown instead of blonde.

This hair dye is very easy to apply and it comes with directions in English also.
What this box of hair dye come with:

  • Container #1 color cream
  • Container #2 cream to put on your hair
  • A treatment package for after you finish
  • a pair of plastic gloves
  • a plastic apron so you don't get your shirt messy
  • A pamphlet with Korean instructions

Here is the result of my hair in regular room lighting.

PROS:
  • It didn't take long for the color to change
  • It contains some natural ingredients
  • comes with everything you need to prepare
  • Have English instructions
  • It looks really natural
  • very good for root touching

CONS:
  • The smell is not too strong, but I could still smell some chemicals.
  • In my opinion, I did not get the result that I wanted which is something lighter.
  • The cream might not cover enough if you have long hair.

COST:
Cost around $10 with tax in Hawaii

How is everybody doing so far? It is Wednesday! you know what that means? Reviews from Stephanie C: Today I would be going over The Face Shop's perfume line SOUL. SOUL is a new line of perfume that they provide in their stores. One day I was testing perfumes out in The Face Shop, then I found this beauty. [Review] Nature Republic Botanical Apple Dome Blusher #1 Pink

ALLLLOOOOHHHHHAAA~! Today I am going to do a review on Nature Republic's Dome Blusher in pink. I had been using this blush a lot recently. The Dome Blusher is not like any other blush, it have a creamy texture and is shaped like a dome. I like this blush because when every time I put my BB cream on, my face would look too pale. I needed something to balance the color out and make it look natural, that is why I love this blush so much. I have never seen something this adorable before, so this product really caught my attention.

1. Shows the front of the blush (I used it so much that the letters are starting to come off )
2. Shows the back of the blush
3. This is how the blush looks like when the cap is taken off

Below is a swatch of blush on my hands, as you can see, it gives a very light and natural pink.
Also there is a picture of me wearing the blush, which gives of a rosy color, not too bright.

TIP: An easy way of applying this product would be a dabbing motion onto your cheeks, then blend it out with your fingers.

Pros:
  • the color is really natural
  • it stays on through out the day
  • it is in an adorable shape

Cons:
  • it only have a little on the top (but it last for a long time)
  • I put BB cream on then blush, but the BB cream gets on the blush so it gets a little bit dirty
  • it is hard to apply without the dabbing method
Cost: around ~$10 in Hawaii

[Review] Nature Republic Water Tint 02 Water Pink

Allllloooohhhhhaaaaa Cuties~! How have you been on this fine day? I am here with my review on a water tint. What exactly is a tint? A tint is a liquid that contains color or similar to a stain, because it would last longer. Before, I have no idea what a tint was, all I knew was that Ulzzang's uses them to make their dolly lips. Personally I prefer tints because it is long lasting.
Today I have Nature Republic's Water Tint in #2 water pink. This color is very subtle and natural when applied to the lips. I have been using this lip tint for a while now and I love it!
This product was used in the Ulzzang Lip Tutorial:
http://cutiesforlyf.blogspot.com/2014/09/how-to-create-ulzzang-lips.html

This is the bottom of the bottle, you can see the information.

As you can see, I have been using this product almost everyday since I got it a month ago.

The brush is a felt tip for easy application.

This is a swatch on my hand, you can see that it is very light and natural looking.

How it would look like applied on lips.

Pros:
  • long lasting
  • natural and subtle
  • easy to apply
  • cost around ~$5-6 in Hawaii

Cons:
  • hard to remove without makeup remover
  • no moisture, just to give color but you can add your own layer of lip balm, lip gloss etc.

How to: Create Ulzzang Lips

Hello Cuties~! How was your labor day weekend? I am here to do our first makeup tutorial. I have decided on something easy to do so everyone could give it a shot.~
Have you ever searched online and see some pictures of Korean girls or guys who looked like this?
Picture taken from: http://images6.fanpop.com/image/photos/33800000/Ulzzang-guys-ulzzang-world-33888419-400-579.jpg
Picture taken from: http://www.nautiljon.com/images/hotlink/people/00/25/pony_ulzzang_21152.jpg
They are called an 얼짱 which in Korean means "best face" or "good looking". Most of them look like dolls and really good looking people. However, they all have unique makeup techniques and styles. Today we will focus on the ulzzang lips. It is also known as a "gradient" lip since it is usually darker in the middle and fades as it blends towards the outside of the lips almost like a baby's lip or a porcelain doll lips.

Here is the finished results, but lets get started with the materials you will need:

1. Nature Republic: Botanical Gradient Tint- Orchid Plum
2. Nature Republic: Water Tint #2 Pink
3. Nature Republic: By Flower Lip Essence
(you don't necessarily have to use the same products, you could also use something similar)

1. My naked lips
2. Put the Gradient tint on your inner part of the lips
3. Add the water tint on top of gradient tint
4. Add the lip essence for some shine!
(I personally wanted to use the essence because I have dry lips so it will help give moisture through out the day)
