[Review] Nature Republic Fresh Vegetable Pack

Hi my pretties! Today, I am going to review one of my favorite mask packs of all time, The Fresh Vegetable Pack from Nature Republic.
First of all, I have the larger size of the vegetable pack, a 300 mL tub - which sells for $9.90 each in Hawaii. The smaller one is a 150 mL tube that sells for $5.00. The vegetable pack contains ten different vegetables that help with hydrating and moisturizing the skin
How it looks on the inside
The Fresh Vegetable pack smells extremely good (but please don't try to eat it) and is a leave on mask pack for 5-10 minutes. After that, you would wash it off. Every time I use this, I feel that my skin becomes super soft and supple. Since I have dry/combo skin, this is the perfect product for me. I usually use this while I'm showering.
How it looks on my hand
This product has a really thick consistency. It almost feels like Jello. I just leave about 2 centimeter layer on my face. After that I just wash everything off in the shower. Besides using it in the shower, I would find it hard to just lay around with this wash off mask on my face particularly because it can and will get on my hair.

Pros: super moisturizing, leaves the skin feeling smooth and supple, smells very good
Cons: can get everywhere (even in the hair), not so good for oily skin
Rating: 9/10
Thanks for tuning in and see you soon my pretties!

[Review] Nature Republic Magic Remover Lip & Eye Mild

Nature Republic's Magic remover. c:
This make up remover contains chamomile extract so it's good for sensitive since. It says it's for lip and eye but honestly I use it to remover concealer and my eye brow make up as well.
On my hand I put my waterproof eyeliner, concealer, and lip tint. With one swipe it removed most of the make up expect for the lip tint it took several tries to remove it quickly even with five swipes it still had a little left but hardly noticeable.

Pros:
          -Gentle on the skin
          -Removes make up well
          -Smells good
          -Lasts quite a long time
Cons:
-Lip make up takes awhile to remove
Repurchase:
-Most likely, I have sensitive skin, lol
Good luck and have fun lovelies.

[Review] The Face Shop SOUL Promise Ring Perfume

How is everybody doing so far? It is Wednesday! you know what that means? Reviews from Stephanie C: Today I would be going over The Face Shop's perfume line SOUL. SOUL is a new line of perfume that they provide in their stores. One day I was testing perfumes out in The Face Shop, then I found this beauty. I sprayed it and it smelled very floral, which is good because I had always wanted something like this. I find the words "promise ring" to be something cute and romantic and I loved it. Below are some pictures of the product:

This is the front side of the box, it is plain and simple.

This is the side of the box, it looks very cute.

TADA~ it came with a glass bottle and a pump.
PROS:
  • It smells good and have a floral fragrance.
  • The scent last through out the day.
  • Came in a cute bottle.
  • Size is small so you could carry it anywhere with you.

CONS:
  • The smell is not really strong.
  • It was a bit pricey for me.

COST:
  • I remember in Hawaii was around $24

Your Skin and You: Moisturizing vs. Hydrating

Moisture? Hydrate? What's the difference?

Moisture
Moisturizing for the most part means adding oils and nutrients to the skin. When I compare moisture to hydration, I usually think something with moisture contains more oil content or feels thicker on the skin. When you have oily skin, adding more moisture to it would actually make you have even more oily skin. But if you have super dry skin, it would make your skin soft and moist. Moisturizing products are best used in dry and cold weather as it would help prevent the skin from getting dry.

Hydrate
To hydrate or add hydration to the skin means that you will be adding water to the skin. This means that the lotion or the cream you have or will be getting will have a lighter texture. Hydration products can be good for all of the skin types as it adds water to the skin, not oils. Hydration products are especially good for people who do not have enough water content in their bodies (like if you don't drink enough water throughout the day). Hydration products are also good for using in the humid and hot weather.

Side Comments: The skin requires a balance of both in order for it to be healthy. As always, everything depends on your skin type and your preference.

See you soon my pretties!

[Review] The Face Shop Face it Styling Auto Gel Liner

Face it Styling auto gel liner! Wow, that is such a mouth full, or shall I say type full, kekeke.

It's just one of your typical auto eye liner packaging, nothing special about it.
The one thing that amazed me though is that instead of a smudger like other gel liners this one comes with a sharper. You don't need a separate sharpener, but you can't use a normal sharpener either. Unfortunately when I try to sharpen my eyeliner most of the product gets stuck inside and I have to try dig it out with something sharp and it just ends up getting really messy. I'm not sure if I'm using the sharpener wrong but it just doesn't work.
The consistency is really buildable too, the left side is one swipe then the right is three.

Pros:
          - Easy to control
          - Smooth application
          - Buildable
Cons:
          - Smudges
          - Sharpener doesn't work
Repurchase:
          - No, even though it's easy to use the overall result is just messy and just smudges a lot for me. Not sure if it will work for someone else but for me after an hour I see that it smudged under my eyes. Then shortly after purchase the part where you turn to dispense the product broke, wow. Not only does the sharpener not work at all and get messy but I can't even dispense the product.
I don't know the workers at The Face Shop really made it seem like this eyeliner was one of their best sellers but to me, it sucked real bad.

Good luck and have fun lovelies.

[Review] Nature Republic Botanical Apple Dome Blusher #1 Pink

ALLLLOOOOHHHHHAAA~! Today I am going to do a review on Nature Republic's Dome Blusher in pink. I had been using this blush a lot recently. The Dome Blusher is not like any other blush, it have a creamy texture and is shaped like a dome. I like this blush because when every time I put my BB cream on, my face would look too pale. I needed something to balance the color out and make it look natural, that is why I love this blush so much. I have never seen something this adorable before, so this product really caught my attention.

1. Shows the front of the blush (I used it so much that the letters are starting to come off )
2. Shows the back of the blush
3. This is how the blush looks like when the cap is taken off

Below is a swatch of blush on my hands, as you can see, it gives a very light and natural pink.
Also there is a picture of me wearing the blush, which gives of a rosy color, not too bright.

TIP: An easy way of applying this product would be a dabbing motion onto your cheeks, then blend it out with your fingers.

Pros:
  • the color is really natural
  • it stays on through out the day
  • it is in an adorable shape

Cons:
  • it only have a little on the top (but it last for a long time)
  • I put BB cream on then blush, but the BB cream gets on the blush so it gets a little bit dirty
  • it is hard to apply without the dabbing method
Cost: around ~$10 in Hawaii

[Review] Etude House Princess Makeup Table

This is absolutely gorgeous! Ladies, if you have a bunch of cosmetics and skin care items taking up space, this is the perfect item for you. I bought the Etude House Princess Makeup Table from ebay for about $30.
This is where I purchased the item from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201139603370?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
What's inside
You have to build the makeup table yourself but it not super hard. Just be careful with the super glue, I accidentally glued my finger together while I was trying to build this. On the bright side, the makeup table came out great.
Left: side view of the makeup table
Right: aerial view of the makeup table
The makeup table is really cute and elegant. It's kind of bulky but can save a lot of space when it comes down to organizing your makeup and skin care products. Plus the base of the makeup table rotates, so you don't have to open or adjust anything.
You can adjust the levels
So, I usually don't buy cosmetics online but this is a makeup table was definitely worth it. I had to personally pick the item up at the USPS store because the seller required signature as proof that I received this item. All in all, it was worth it.

Pros: really cute and elegant; great for organization; displays makeup and skincare very well
Cons: not so good instructions on how to build the makeup table; takes up a lot of space

Thanks for tuning in and see you soon my pretties!

[Review] Nature Republic Acne Clear Patch

Omg! This is my holy grail life saver patches.
My current favorite skincare line is the bee vemon from Nature Republic, so when we got these patches from that line I was extremely excited to try it.
It's a bag with a zip-lock on the time, fancy dancy for a acne patches.
So inside it comes with 9 large, 5 medium, 10 smalls. Honestly, they all for any size pimple..
The paper just explains how it works and how you should remove it. It says to remove it from both sides rather then taking it off from one side, it supposedly "damages" the skin more if you take it off from one side.
My results.
Not very good pictures, sorry I'm not good at taking them.. :(
When you remove them I noticed they are all discolored and has some type of gunk on it and if you're using it on your pimples it removes the white pus so it's a more safer way of popping pimples in a way. I'm assuming it removes bacteria from that area of your skin. :x
Soooo cool.
Oh, and they're water proof too.
Pros:
         - It works!
         - Comes with a variety of sizes
         - Nice packaging
Cons:
         - On the pricey side. $5.90 Hawaii branch (probably because of the packaging, ehe.)
Repurchase:
         - Yes. I am actually on my second one. I'm probably going to only use it on the really bad break outs since it is kind of pricey for acne patches.
Good luck and have fun lovelies.

[Review] Nature Republic Water Tint 02 Water Pink

Allllloooohhhhhaaaaa Cuties~! How have you been on this fine day? I am here with my review on a water tint. What exactly is a tint? A tint is a liquid that contains color or similar to a stain, because it would last longer. Before, I have no idea what a tint was, all I knew was that Ulzzang's uses them to make their dolly lips. Personally I prefer tints because it is long lasting.
Today I have Nature Republic's Water Tint in #2 water pink. This color is very subtle and natural when applied to the lips. I have been using this lip tint for a while now and I love it!
This product was used in the Ulzzang Lip Tutorial:
http://cutiesforlyf.blogspot.com/2014/09/how-to-create-ulzzang-lips.html

This is the bottom of the bottle, you can see the information.

As you can see, I have been using this product almost everyday since I got it a month ago.

The brush is a felt tip for easy application.

This is a swatch on my hand, you can see that it is very light and natural looking.

How it would look like applied on lips.

Pros:
  • long lasting
  • natural and subtle
  • easy to apply
  • cost around ~$5-6 in Hawaii

Cons:
  • hard to remove without makeup remover
  • no moisture, just to give color but you can add your own layer of lip balm, lip gloss etc.

[Review] Nature Republic Provence Gel Eyeliner #6 White & #8 Navy

Hi my pretties!
Today's review is going to be about two gel eyeliners from Nature Republic. These gel eyeliners are not the typical color as they are white and dark blue.
Gel Pen Eyeliners
The gel eyeliners come in many colors and while they look unsharpenable, they are actually pretty easy to sharpen. Any makeup sharpeners will do the trick.
At the end of each gel eyeliner is a smudger so you can get a smokey eye look if you like. I find it super handy if I wanted to get a faded/smokey look.
This is how the color looks on my skin
The eyeliners are sparkly and are very pigmented. The colors come out amazing.

How I look without eyeliner
Here, I have on both the navy and the white color. I used the navy blue color to line my eyes and the white color on my lower lash line. The navy color looks pretty dark but gives a little "pop" to the eyes. It almost looks black but has a bluish color to it. The white color highlights the eyes and makes them look bigger.

After a seven hour school day, my eye makeup did not smudge. Although you can't really see it in the picture, the white eyeliner is still on my lower lash line. My favorite thing about this product is that it stays on no matter how humid the weather is. This is definitely something to try if you something bold and different.

Pros: Variety of Colors; High Pigmentation; Sparkly; Long Lasting
Cons: Takes Longer Time to Remove

Oops, I forgot to add that they're $9.90 each in Hawaii.

[Review] Nature Republic Provence 3 Magic Step Eyes #7 Spring Step

For my birthday Jessica got me this eye shadow palette from Nature Republic
The colors are super girly espeically the pink.
Here are the color swatches, they're really soft colors but it's really build-able so you can have light make up on or you can intensity it. The first color is more like a base color, it's just a solid color. Then the middle one is more shiny and the pink is really shimmery.
This is how I use mine, the first color as a base, second color to do the lips of my eyes then the pink on my outer bottom waterline.

Pros:
           - Really nice color palette
           - Different ways to use it
           - Perfect for Spring or casual girly days
Cons:
           - The pink sparkles get everywhere and doesn't hold the pink color
Repurchase?:
           - Yes, but I do want to try different eye shadows, I use this every time I go to work or if I do decide to wear make up for the day this is my everyday make up.
Good luck and have fun lovelies.

[Review] The Face Shop Volcanic Clay Black Head Charcoal Nose Strip

First of all, I want to warn you guys about the images you are about to see (my nose haha). But, I have say, this product is amazing!
I bought the box set where there are seven pieces. I don't recall how much a box of these cost but I know they're less than $10. Personally, I think the price is very reasonable especially because of how well this pore strip works.

The pictures above show me using the nose strip and the end results. The blackhead on my nose were pulled out very well. This is actually one of the best pore strips I have ever used. It gets rid of a lot of blackheads and whiteheads.
What I liked most about how well this pore strip works is the color of the strip. The pore strip is black which means whiteheads and blackheads are super visible. You can tell exactly how much blackheads and whiteheads are removed from the nose strip. The tiny white dots in the pictures above are the whiteheads and blackheads that are removed from my nose.

Pros: removes blackheads and whiteheads very well, you can see the results
Cons: removal is kind of painful, not super good for sensitive skin

Good luck my pretties and see you soon!
