[Review] Nature Republic Snail Solution 10,000 Hydrogel Eye Patch

Hello Cuties~ back with another review today C: Two weeks ago was our final exam week and I had stayed up pretty late and lack of sleep. The only thing that helped me stay awake was energy drinks, coffee, and naps. However, to keep myself from looking like a zombie, I used Nature Republic's Snail solution 10,000 hydrogel eye patch. I have not tried any other eye patches before, so I decided to give this one a try. Since it contains 10,000 ppm of snail solution (snail mucus), it will help penetrate my skin and sooth my dark eye circle. Here is a picture of how it looks like in the package and on me, along with some directions on the back.

Instruction:

  • After washing the face, you can apply toner (optional for deep absorption)
  • Place the eye patch below your eyes or on areas you want to focus on (see the picture above)
  • Leave it on for 30-40 minutes
  • After time is up, throw the patch away and pat around the eye area so it will absorb more into the skin.

PROS:

  • It contains snail mucus which helps with brightening, skin cell regeneration, moisturizing, etc.
  • The texture of the hydrogel is very hydrating and soothing my dark eye circle along with puffy eye bags.
  • It is easy to use.

CONS:

  • It is one-time use, so if you are looking for multiple uses, it is better to go with an eye cream.
  • I think it was my face shape, but the patch kept sliding off, so it is better to lie down and take a little nap while doing this.

COST:

  • cost around $4.00 - 5.00 in Hawai'i
  • Repurchase? Yes, I would repurchase this for a quick repair or relaxation of the eye bags, but I would buy an eye cream if I constantly have dark circle or puffy eye bags.

[Review] Nature Republic Hair Color Cream Red Wine

Hi my pretties! Today I will be review Nature Republic's Hair Color Cream in the color Red Wine.
First of all, I have to mention that I bleached and dyed the ends of my hair previously. The color that you see in the picture below is when the hair dye has washed out. The brownish orange tips are due to bleaching, there wasn't any color left from my previous dye (which was supposed to be purple but turned into magenta pink).
Before Hair Dye
In the Wine Red hair dye container, there were:
1 Color (#1)
1 Oxidant (#2)
1 Pair of Gloves
1 Apron
1 Hair Treatment Cream

The recommended time for this product is 25 - 30 minutes. You have to mix the colorant and the oxidant in a one to one ratio. Personally, I would recommend using a chop stick or something to mix the color and oxidant together. After applying evenly in your hair, I recommend a hair tie and shower cap to keep the hair moist for the duration. After I washed my hair, I applied the hair treatment cream onto my hair and rinsed it off after a couple minutes.
After Hair Dye
The hair color looks very vibrant and pretty. I really liked the way this hair dye turned out. Like always, I dyed the tips of my hair, not everything. Also I left the hair dye in for about an hour because hair dye usually don't hold as well for my hair. I don't recommend doing this because this can prolong and increase the damage done to your hair.

Pros: beautiful color, came with hair treatment and an apron (which most American hair dye brands don't have)
Cons: smell is strong, can be messy
Rating 8/10

I would definitely recommend getting hair packs or hair treatment for the hair after dying it. It will help with the damages of the hair dye but not completely get rid of it. Also, the hair dye costs $7.90, which I believe is very reasonable for hair dye.

That's all for today, thanks for tuning in and see you soon!

[Review] Nature Republic Real Nature Charcoal Bubble Cleansing Mask

I've never heard of a bubble cleansing mask before, but this is on a bit of a pricey side ($19.90 in Hawaii) compare to other products that maintain your pores. The only reason why I got this product is because my co worker kept pushing me to buy it, and I had a black head that was just stuck on my nose and no matter what I did it just wouldn't come out, and when I put this on my nose the black head became much smaller.
Picture of the Charcoal bubble cleansing mask, then the right side is the picture with the cap off. I'm not sure if it's because mine is broken but even though after I use it and I wipe it down (as the instructions in the back says) it still becomes all gunky like that.
When you first put on the mask it's already begins to bubble up, then when you wait a few minutes it'll become more fluffier, so when the bubbles begin to pop you feel it start to clean your pores? I don't know how I would explain this. Then after awhile of waiting the third photo is the end result.
Honestly I don't know if it's just me but it feels really uncomfortable, I can't tell if it's tickling me or straight up bothering me. Using this is the longest 15 minutes of my life, because I just want to remove it asap, and after my skin is just stripped of everything, so it does leaves my skin soft and smooth. The days I use this I also use a face mask because my skin absorbs the serum of the mask better than just using it after washing it and using a toner.
As for the scent it does have a charcoal smell but it's not a bad one where you just want to refuse putting it on your face what so ever.

Pros:
         - Gets a deep cleaning
Cons:
         - It tingles my skin
         - Pricey
         - The top gets messy after use even after I wipe it down
Repurchase:
         - No, there's so much alternate cheaper versions to maintain your pores. I think you should get this one if your sole purpose is to get a deep cleaning of your pores because it does do the job as it says it does. Then comparing it to other charcoal masks this one does make my skin feel the softest and cleanest, but it irritates my skin too much.

Good luck and have fun lovelies

[Review] The Face Shop Lovely Me: Ex Pastel Cushion Blusher #5 Peach Cushion

How was everybody's Christmas? I am back with another makeup review, this time I am reviewing The Face Shop's Lovely Me:Ex Pastel Cushion Blusher Peach Cushion. My last blush was from Nature Republic, but I decided to try a powder type of blush. Out of all the colors available, I love this color because it gave me a nice Summer glow on my cheeks, which I also feel like a flower child with it on. First of all the design of this blush is so adorable and especially the puff that comes with it. It is so fluffy that it does not make your cheeks look cakey.

Here is a picture of the blush and how it looks on my skin.

PROS:
  • It comes with a cute puff.
  • The colors goes on very nicely.
  • Color good for Spring or Summer look.

CONS:
  • Applying once is not enough since it is not very pigmented.

COST:
Around $6

Thank you and have a great day Cuties~! More reviews coming soon!

[Review] Nature Republic Original Power Hydro Ampoule

Happy Holidays!
Today's review is going to be on Nature Republic's Original Power Hydro Ampoule. As you all know I love hyaluronic acid like it's nobody's business; it does the most amazing thing to my skin.
The Original Power Ampoule is super watery and light on the skin. It uses Hyaluronic Acid, a substance that can be found as a lubricant for bones and tissues. It serves as an excellent moisturizer.
My skin absorbs this right away. It leaves a little sticky consistency but other than that, my skin absorbs the ampoule a lot better than any other moisturizers. This was actually the first ampoule that I own and I am definitely happy with it. The only thing that wasn't so good was the way you have to apply it on the skin. Since the bottle is made with the dropper, you have to use the dropper. I personally like moisturizers or any skin care products with pumps because the air does not get into the product. When air is introduced into a product, it will go bad sooner. Other than that, I absolutely love this.

Pros: hydrates the skin very well, extremely light on the skin
Cons: air is introduced to the product when you use it
Rating: 9/10
Price: around $12 - $13

[Review] Nature Republic Given By Nature Green Tea Mask Sheet

I guess since Stephaine and Jessica are posting face masks I should too.
Green tea actually has a lot of skincare benefits, it's rich in antioxidants so it protects the skin from free-radicals, it's also a anti-inflammatory which means it helps redness. Then most shockingly green tea extract can also slow down the aging process, whaaaat.

Brand: Nature Republic
Line: Given By Nature
Mask Type: Cotton

On the back it says "This mask sheet deeply moisturizes the skin and helps stay moisturized" What I like about this is that the serum is light yet moisturizing enough for any skin type, and not only that like I mentioned above green tea has a lot more benefits that the back of the mask says it does. I always feel as if my skin isn't as red after I take off the mask sheet as well.

Pros:
         - A lot of skincare benefits can be given from green tea extract
         - Absorbs into the skin easily
         - Light fragrance, but not noticeable when you wear it
         - No sticky feeling
Cons:
         - A lot of serum so it drips everywhere (This is why I prefer gel type)
Repurchase:
         - Yessssssssssss, yes yes yes yes. I always repurchase this, every time I run out I always have to restock.

Good luck and have fun lovelies.

[Review] Nature Republic Given By Nature Tea Tree Aqua Gel Mask

Merry Christmas and happy holidays Cuties!~ long time no post due to finals and studying! but I am glad that we are back. According to the schedule, I was supposed to post yesterday, but due to issues, I was not able to. Today I will review to you the tea tree aqua gel mask from Nature Republic. First of all, tea tree is a very important ingredient when it comes to acne or trouble skin, since it will help with reducing inflammation and soothes the redness on the skin.

I had tried the cotton texture sheet masks before, but not much of the gel type. This was the first time I tried it and it was interesting. If you have never heard or saw the gel masks before, here is a quick overview of the difference between the two. > Cotton Mask Sheet vs. Gel Mask Sheet (covered by the lovely Jessica <3 )

How it looks like with it on.

PRO:
  • It helps with the benefits of acne and dry skin.
  • it is separated into upper half and bottom half so it is easier to adjust to individual faces.
  • Helps soothing and moisturising the face.

CON:
  • The gel is covered in plastic wraps so it won't damage the gel, but it takes a while to take the mask out.
  • It has a lot of solution, so when I put it on my whole hand is all wet.

COST:
  • $2.90 before tax in Hawai'i

[Review] Tony Moly Pureness 100 Pearl Mask Sheet

Long time no see my pretties! Did you guys miss us?

Today, I am going to review Tony Moly's Pureness 100 Pearl Mask Sheet. This mask sheet helps with brightening the skin tone and is super moisturizing.
Mask Type: Cotton
Brand: Tony Moly
Line: Pureness 100
Name: Pearl
Purpose: brightening
Duration: 20-30 minutes
The mask sheet is very sticky and contains a lot of moisture -  almost too much moisture. Personally, this mask sheet contains a bit too much moisture then I would like. Right after I removed the mask sheet and pat the fluid into the skin, my skin felt super sticky and uncomfortable. In the morning, my skin felt well moisturized but it was a tad bit oily. Personally, I use a lot of brightening products so using this mask sheet did not overall brighten my skin tone. Instead, it heavily moisturized it. Overall, I feel like in order to brighten my skin tone, I would have to constantly use this mask sheet. One time use will probably not have too much effect on my skin.

Rating: 6/10
Pros: skin feels moisturized in the morning
Cons: too sticky, feels uncomfortable, not sure about the results

Thanks for tuning in and see you soon my pretties!

[Review] Nature Republic Bamboo and Charcoal Pore Pack

HEYYYY Cuties! How was your Halloween week? did you went crazy or trick-or-treat with your friends and family? I am here with yet another pore/ blackhead review. Today we have Nature Republic's Bamboo and Charcoal Pore Pack, which recently Nature Republic have this. Ever since I saw this commercial with EXO, I wanted to try it out. Check it out below:
This pore pack would help with exfoliating the pores, making your pores clean from black heads, whiteheads, and impurities. The man ingredients would be Charcoal and Bamboo for both steps.
There are two steps involved in this process:

1) Pour some of step 1 solution into the cotton nose strips included and time for 10-15 minutes.
2) Put the clay on the the nose or T-zone and spread according to the nose shape, peel it off until it is dried.

Instructions in Korean; but you can see the time limits for each step

Left: with the cotton strip on
Right: The results after the clay dried

PRO:
  • takes off the black and white heads making my nose cleaner
  • Have a pleasant fragrance
  • It is affordable

CON:
  • Takes up time for two steps
  • if clay isn't spread equally, you will have leftover clay on your nose

COST: about $8~ in Hawai'i

[Review] Tony Moly Strawberry Seed 3 Step Nose Pack

I don't have a problem with black head or white heads but I do like to maintain my pores. Lately I've been addicted to the 3-step pore strips that Nature Republic has but we're sold out at the moment so when I went to Tony Moly to go get more of the foot peeling with my mom and grandma this strawberry caught my attention.
The packaging is really cute, the first step is to open your pores, second step is a normal pore strip, and the third is to help soothe and close your pores.
So the first step is cotton shaped as a pore strip that is soaked in serum. It has a hint of a strawberry scent but also alcohol as well.
Second step is a normal nose strip, this didn't work for me as well as other pore strips do. I circled three of the black heads that did come out though!
Third step is this gel type of nose mask, it feels really nice to put on after you remove the blackheads.I like to leave these on for longer than recommended time since it does soothe your pores.

Pros:
         - Cute packaging
Cons:
         - Didn't work for me
Repurchase:
         - No, out of all the pore strips I tried this would probably be somewhere on the bottom.
Good luck and have fun lovelies!

[Review] Tony Moly Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask Hyaluronic Acid

Hi my pretties! This will be my first mask sheet review. Today's item is going to be Tony Moly's Hyaluronic Acid mask sheet.

First of all, I absolutely love Hyaluronic Acid. A little background info, hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body. It helps with retaining water content in the body and moisturizes the skin.
Mask Type: Cotton
Brand: Tony Moly
Line: Nature Pulp Essence Sheet Mask
Name: Hyaluronic Acid
Purpose: hydration, moisture
Duration: 20-30 minutes
The mask sheet is very thin and easy to rip; however, the serum is super light and extremely easy to absorb into my skin. I absolutely love Hyaluronic Acid because it is so light. Alongside that, it penetrates the skin layers very easily. I usually put a mask sheet on at night so when I wake up I could see the effect on my skin. My skin was super moisturized in the morning and looked absolutely well nourished.

Rating: 9/10
Pros: super moisturizing, great hydration
Cons: requires you to wait 20-30 minutes
See you next time my pretties!

[Review] Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max White C Luminous Ampoule

Hey Cuties~ long time no update! sorry for the late update due to mid-term week again! but I am back today with another review of Nature Republic's Aqua Super Max White C Luminous Ampoule. What this like do is to hydrate the face while brightening it. This is how the product looks like:

I really like the dropper, which makes things easier to squirt out the products. What is different about this product is that the main ingredient is made out of Camu Camu, which is also known as the sea grape. I have heard that there is a lot of sea grapes in Hawai'i. But the sea grape have a stronger brightening property than vitamin C from a lemon.

This is a sample of a droplet; its luminous glow looks very vibrant, yet when applied on the hand it blends nicely causing a small brightening glow.

OVERALL:
I like this product so far, since I just bought it a few days ago and decided to give it a try. I usually put this at night because that is the most important time to treat your skin. I don't put it during the day, or the sun will dry out the product. If I do put it during the day, I would put sun block to prevent it from drying. I always wake up with a clear face that felt hydrated.

COST: $20~ in Hawai'i

[Review] Nature Republic Real Nature Volcanic Ash Wash-Off Pack

Hi my pretties! How are you guys today?
Hope all of you guys are doing good! Today the product on review will be Nature Republic's Volcanic Ash Wash-Off Pack.
As of now, this is my favorite mask pack because it exfoliates so well. The Volcanic Ash exfoliates my dead skin cells and makes my skin feel really soft and clean. It takes approximately 15 minutes for the wash-off pack to dry but can vary depending on how thick you spread it on your face.
Application of the wash-off pack: first applied (left) and about 15 minutes later (right)
The wash-off pack is wet when you firsts apply it, but it dries into the skin. After that, I just use a cleansing sponge to clean the wash-off pack off my face. I totally forgot the price of this product. I've actually had it for a while now and it still works great every time. I actually only use this every so often. I wish I was able to use it at least once a week but I'm too lazy haha.

Pros: exfoliates the skin, makes the skin softer
Cons: washing it off can be a long process
Rating: 7/10

Fun Fact: We put the skin products on our hands because at work we usually demonstrate the products to our customers by putting it on our hands.
Hope you enjoyed the review and see you next time my pretties!

[Review] Tony Moly Panda's Dream Good-bye Dark Eye Corrector

I honestly only got this because of the cute panda packaging, and boy do I regret it.
I had this for about almost a year now?, and it does absolutely nothing with my dark circles, I guess this is why they made the packaging so cute, so people would buy it, lol.
This the the product on my hand without and with blending it out. It takes a few times to get the hang of knowing how much product to use since you actually need very little.
Pros:
         - Cute packaging
Cons:
         - Doesn't do what it's suppose to do (help dark circles)
         - The scent smells ugly to me
Repurchase:
         - No this was a complete waste on money it doesn't even do what it was created to be used for.
Good luck and have fun lovelies. >___>

[Review] The Face Shop Lovely Me: Ex Design My Eyebrows #4 Brown

Good evening my Cuties~ I apologize for uploading late due to studying for my mid-terms, but I won't let you guys down! So here I am with a new review pertaining to The Face Shop's Design My Eyebrows in the shade of brown. I am sure a lot of people have seen review on this eyebrow pencil, but it is so good that even I want to review it. I am a big fan of eyebrow products, since I don't have much eyebrow hair myself. I wanted my eyebrow to be nicely shaped and full, so I decided to try this pencil.
This eyebrow pencil is very convenient, since it is an auto pencil, so it does not have to be sharpen when the tip becomes dull. I also find it useful to have an eyebrow brush on the other side of the tip, so I could blend the color in, causing a natural effect.

This is my eyebrows when I do not color them in. The second picture shows that only one side of my eyebrows are filled in. (Sorry about my dark circles and eye bags, it is due to the lack of sleep) Below is a picture of me with both eyebrows filled in, pretty natural right?

PROS:
  • It does not cost much, Hawai'i is around $4~5
  • It fills in the eyebrows naturally
  • Comes with a brush
  • Does not have to sharpen it

CONS:
  • It is straight edged, so it depends if it is convenient for the user according to their eyebrow shapes.
  • Clumps a little when pressure was applied, it also makes it dark looking

[Review] Nature Republic Nature's Deco Magic Air Puff

Hi my pretties!
Sorry for the late post but today I will be reviewing Nature Republic's Nature's Deco Magic Air Puff. The Magic Air Puff is a small puff that is used to apply BB cream and foundation to the skin.
In Hawaii, the Magic Air Puff cost $2.90 before tax. So far, it is my go to for make up application. Although you can't tell the difference in the picture below, using the Magic Air Puff helps with an even application and makes the skin feel smoother.
You can tell without the Magic Air Puff, the skin is whiter meaning there is more BB cream on the skin
I noticed with the Magic Air Puff, the skin looks more flawless. I tried this with different BB creams and saw that the makeup lasts longer and looks well blended. Alongside that, it doesn't really cake the skin but leaves a thin layer of the BB cream over it.
How it looks opened with BB cream residue
The Magic Air Puff is extremely easy to clean. I just wash it with my foam cleanser. Then I let it air dry.

Pros: smooth, flawless finish; helps make up last longer; unexpensive
Cons: absorbs some of the BB cream
Rating: 8/10

By the way I've been really into this new song called "On and On" by Vixx. Check them out, they're one of my favorite K-pop boy bands! Thanks for tuning in and see you soon my pretties!
- Jessica
Correction: VIXX's "On and On" is not a new song. It was released in 2013 but it's a new song to me.
