[Review] Tony Moly Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask Hyaluronic Acid

Hi my pretties! This will be my first mask sheet review. Today's item is going to be Tony Moly's Hyaluronic Acid mask sheet.

First of all, I absolutely love Hyaluronic Acid. A little background info, hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body. It helps with retaining water content in the body and moisturizes the skin.
Mask Type: Cotton
Brand: Tony Moly
Line: Nature Pulp Essence Sheet Mask
Name: Hyaluronic Acid
Purpose: hydration, moisture
Duration: 20-30 minutes
The mask sheet is very thin and easy to rip; however, the serum is super light and extremely easy to absorb into my skin. I absolutely love Hyaluronic Acid because it is so light. Alongside that, it penetrates the skin layers very easily. I usually put a mask sheet on at night so when I wake up I could see the effect on my skin. My skin was super moisturized in the morning and looked absolutely well nourished.

Rating: 9/10
Pros: super moisturizing, great hydration
Cons: requires you to wait 20-30 minutes
See you next time my pretties!

[Review] Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max White C Luminous Ampoule

Hey Cuties~ long time no update! sorry for the late update due to mid-term week again! but I am back today with another review of Nature Republic's Aqua Super Max White C Luminous Ampoule. What this like do is to hydrate the face while brightening it. This is how the product looks like:

I really like the dropper, which makes things easier to squirt out the products. What is different about this product is that the main ingredient is made out of Camu Camu, which is also known as the sea grape. I have heard that there is a lot of sea grapes in Hawai'i. But the sea grape have a stronger brightening property than vitamin C from a lemon.

This is a sample of a droplet; its luminous glow looks very vibrant, yet when applied on the hand it blends nicely causing a small brightening glow.

OVERALL:
I like this product so far, since I just bought it a few days ago and decided to give it a try. I usually put this at night because that is the most important time to treat your skin. I don't put it during the day, or the sun will dry out the product. If I do put it during the day, I would put sun block to prevent it from drying. I always wake up with a clear face that felt hydrated.

COST: $20~ in Hawai'i

[Review] Nature Republic Real Nature Volcanic Ash Wash-Off Pack

Hi my pretties! How are you guys today?
Hope all of you guys are doing good! Today the product on review will be Nature Republic's Volcanic Ash Wash-Off Pack.
As of now, this is my favorite mask pack because it exfoliates so well. The Volcanic Ash exfoliates my dead skin cells and makes my skin feel really soft and clean. It takes approximately 15 minutes for the wash-off pack to dry but can vary depending on how thick you spread it on your face.
Application of the wash-off pack: first applied (left) and about 15 minutes later (right)
The wash-off pack is wet when you firsts apply it, but it dries into the skin. After that, I just use a cleansing sponge to clean the wash-off pack off my face. I totally forgot the price of this product. I've actually had it for a while now and it still works great every time. I actually only use this every so often. I wish I was able to use it at least once a week but I'm too lazy haha.

Pros: exfoliates the skin, makes the skin softer
Cons: washing it off can be a long process
Rating: 7/10

Fun Fact: We put the skin products on our hands because at work we usually demonstrate the products to our customers by putting it on our hands.
Hope you enjoyed the review and see you next time my pretties!

[Review] Tony Moly Panda's Dream Good-bye Dark Eye Corrector

I honestly only got this because of the cute panda packaging, and boy do I regret it.
I had this for about almost a year now?, and it does absolutely nothing with my dark circles, I guess this is why they made the packaging so cute, so people would buy it, lol.
This the the product on my hand without and with blending it out. It takes a few times to get the hang of knowing how much product to use since you actually need very little.
Pros:
         - Cute packaging
Cons:
         - Doesn't do what it's suppose to do (help dark circles)
         - The scent smells ugly to me
Repurchase:
         - No this was a complete waste on money it doesn't even do what it was created to be used for.
Good luck and have fun lovelies. >___>

[Review] The Face Shop Lovely Me: Ex Design My Eyebrows #4 Brown

Good evening my Cuties~ I apologize for uploading late due to studying for my mid-terms, but I won't let you guys down! So here I am with a new review pertaining to The Face Shop's Design My Eyebrows in the shade of brown. I am sure a lot of people have seen review on this eyebrow pencil, but it is so good that even I want to review it. I am a big fan of eyebrow products, since I don't have much eyebrow hair myself. I wanted my eyebrow to be nicely shaped and full, so I decided to try this pencil.
This eyebrow pencil is very convenient, since it is an auto pencil, so it does not have to be sharpen when the tip becomes dull. I also find it useful to have an eyebrow brush on the other side of the tip, so I could blend the color in, causing a natural effect.

This is my eyebrows when I do not color them in. The second picture shows that only one side of my eyebrows are filled in. (Sorry about my dark circles and eye bags, it is due to the lack of sleep) Below is a picture of me with both eyebrows filled in, pretty natural right?

PROS:
  • It does not cost much, Hawai'i is around $4~5
  • It fills in the eyebrows naturally
  • Comes with a brush
  • Does not have to sharpen it

CONS:
  • It is straight edged, so it depends if it is convenient for the user according to their eyebrow shapes.
  • Clumps a little when pressure was applied, it also makes it dark looking

[Review] Nature Republic Nature's Deco Magic Air Puff

Hi my pretties!
Sorry for the late post but today I will be reviewing Nature Republic's Nature's Deco Magic Air Puff. The Magic Air Puff is a small puff that is used to apply BB cream and foundation to the skin.
In Hawaii, the Magic Air Puff cost $2.90 before tax. So far, it is my go to for make up application. Although you can't tell the difference in the picture below, using the Magic Air Puff helps with an even application and makes the skin feel smoother.
You can tell without the Magic Air Puff, the skin is whiter meaning there is more BB cream on the skin
I noticed with the Magic Air Puff, the skin looks more flawless. I tried this with different BB creams and saw that the makeup lasts longer and looks well blended. Alongside that, it doesn't really cake the skin but leaves a thin layer of the BB cream over it.
How it looks opened with BB cream residue
The Magic Air Puff is extremely easy to clean. I just wash it with my foam cleanser. Then I let it air dry.

Pros: smooth, flawless finish; helps make up last longer; unexpensive
Cons: absorbs some of the BB cream
Rating: 8/10

By the way I've been really into this new song called "On and On" by Vixx. Check them out, they're one of my favorite K-pop boy bands! Thanks for tuning in and see you soon my pretties!

Correction: VIXX's "On and On" is not a new song. It was released in 2013 but it's a new song to me.

[Review] Nature Republic Phyto Origin Mild Peeling Gel

So once a week I like to use this peeling gel, this is more gentle way of exfoliating your skin rather than using the typical facial scrub. What I like about this product is that it has a very lovely smell, most peeling gels I smell (I have a horrible sniffing fetish) always have a weird scent on it.
The packaging is very simple and makes the product itself very self explanatory. The only problem I have with it is the new pump I don't know for some reason it doesn't dispense the product as well as it use it, it takes me about a few times to actually get the product to come out.

I use about 2-3 pumps of the product and just massage it into my skin, after awhile these white balls are going to come out. It's supposedly the dead skin cells, I guess so the after results make my skin so soft and more bright.
Pros:
         - Removes dead skin cells
         - Makes skin more bright and soft
         - The Phyto origin line itself is hypo-allergenic so it's good for sensitive skin as well
         - Doesn't have a weird smell like other peeling gels
Cons:
          - A little bit on the pricey side ($16.90 Hawaii)
Repurchase:
          - Yessssss, it's so worth it to me. If I don't at least exfoliate once a week I break out like there's no tomorrow! Since you use this about once a week the product really lasts a long time too so it evens out the price as well.
Good luck and have fun lovelies!

Mask Sheet Posts

Hi my pretties,

The recent posts to the blog shows posts that are under constructions. The posts are related to the lines of mask sheets that are offered at different Korean cosmetics stores. It is currently still under construction.

Under the "Reviews" tab,
each individual cosmetics company will have a "Mask Sheet" section which lists the different lines from the store.

Clicking on any of the two mask sheets will open the page to a mask sheet page specific for that line.

Although all of the "Mask Sheets" post page are empty right now, we are currently working on filling up mask sheets as a part of the reviews. It's just it won't be directly under the reviews section but through a different post that will organize the different mask sheets.
Thanks for your understanding and see you soon my pretties!

[Review] Nature Republic Hawaiian Fresh Clay Pack

Good morning Cuties~! Today's review I had decided to try Nature Republic's Hawaiian Fresh line, which contains acne cleaner, toner, serum, acne spot treatment, and clay pack. Today I would be doing the clay pack review. This product is made from the deep Hawaiian sea water so it contains a lot of minerals for your skin and makes it healthier. This product is good for oily skin type, which helps with acne and remove sebum while revitalizing the skin. It also contains Hibiscus extract (pore tightening) and Noni extract (moisturize the pores).

I think the packaging is really cute.
How to use:
This product is similar to a face mask sheet, but it is in clay form. First spread it on the face and then let the clay dry, which will take about 20-30 minutes depending on how much clay is on the face. After, when the clay is all dry, rinse it with water and you are finished.

Price range:
This product is very affordable $14-16 in Hawaii.

PROS:

  • Minimizing and cleaning of pores
  • softens the face making it feel smooth
  • the scent of the clay was pleasant
CONS:
  • needs to wash it off after, this is not for people who are lazy to wash it off
  • Rinsing the clay off could be messy

[Review] Nature Republic Provence Gel Eyeliner #4 Plum

Hi my pretties! How are you guys doing this week?

Today, I'm going to review another one of Nature Republic's Provence Gel Eyeliners. This time it's going to be in the color #4 Plum.
As you can probably tell, my favorite color is purple. So, it's a definite must to buy this eyeliner. At first, I didn't think I would be able to pull off a purple eyeliner but as I gradually played with this color, it actually compliments the skin very well.
The color of the eyeliner looks almost brownish - creating a nature look. When applied it has a purple hue. It's currently fall right now (although it's technically summer year round in Hawaii) and this purple eyeliner gives an edgy look but nature look to the eyes. Personally, I am a big fan of the Provence Gel Eyeliner line. I like how easy the eyeliner is to apply and how long lasting it is.
Note: I also have the Provence 3 Magic Step Eyes #4 Plum Burgundy on as the eye shadow base
The Provence Gel Eyeliner cost $9.90 before tax.

Pros: long lasting; unique color; great for Autumn
Cons: color is hard to pull off
Rating: 8/10

Thanks for tuning in and see you next time my pretties!

[Review] The Face Shop Lovely Me: Ex BB Cream

I don't normally wear bb cream but I sometimes when I feel like I need a little coverage to cover blemishes I'll use this one, especially since it doesn't just conceal it but it also helps it as well.
This bb cream contains rosemary, tea tree, and chamomile to help take care and prevent break outs.

As you can tell just like majority of bb cream it has a gray tint.
Can't tell the difference. It does look extremely natural when you wear it but it does leave a slight gray hint because the bb cream is gray based.

Pros:
          - Contains tea tree to help break outs
          - Lovely smell. (light baby powder scent)
          - Super cute packaging
Cons:
          - Gray undertone but most bb creams have that
          - Have to use primer with it so it lasts long
          - Only one shade(at least in hawaii?)
          - Doesn't prevent break outs
Repurchase?:
-Probably not, I had this for over a year and still didn't finish it yet. I don't normally wear bb cream.
Good luck and have fun lovelies.

[Review] Tony Moly Berry Trendy Hair Color Cream Milky Blonde

Hey Cuties, how have you been? Today I have a special review to share with you guys, which is Tony Moly's hair dye. I have not dye my hair for a few months now, so my natural roots came in super quickly. I had decided to recolor my roots to the original hair color. I choose to use the milky blonde because I wanted my hair to have a natural ash brown color. One tip that I could give for choosing your own hair dye color depending on which color you wanted would be for example, I have black hair and I wanted my hair to look brown, so I would choose a blonde color so the color would be brown instead of blonde.

This hair dye is very easy to apply and it comes with directions in English also.
What this box of hair dye come with:

  • Container #1 color cream
  • Container #2 cream to put on your hair
  • A treatment package for after you finish
  • a pair of plastic gloves
  • a plastic apron so you don't get your shirt messy
  • A pamphlet with Korean instructions

Here is the result of my hair in regular room lighting.

PROS:
  • It didn't take long for the color to change
  • It contains some natural ingredients
  • comes with everything you need to prepare
  • Have English instructions
  • It looks really natural
  • very good for root touching

CONS:
  • The smell is not too strong, but I could still smell some chemicals.
  • In my opinion, I did not get the result that I wanted which is something lighter.
  • The cream might not cover enough if you have long hair.

COST:
Cost around $10 with tax in Hawaii
